No George, No Rubio
Our story started with the development of the Rubio Monocoat oil in the year 2000, the starting point of the collaboration with Dr. George Barrell († 2015). Together with us, Dr. George Barrell was focused to develop the perfect, innovative oil that could stand the test of time.
It is therefore also thanks to Dr. George Barrell that we have discovered the 'holy grail' of oils and can offer the Rubio Monocoat oil as it is today.
The innovative and lively character of Dr. George Barrell served as an inspiration for the look and taste of GEORGE.

of Rubio Monocoat. The King Of Colours shows you the extensive colour palette of our interior and exterior range. Just like the well-known colour range, there is also an extensive taste palette in GEORGE: light, blond, spicy and with a dry finish.

Rubio Monocoat is a Belgian company based in the heart of West-Flanders (Izegem). The West-Flemish company continues to grow, so that leaves room for an extra project: bringing our own beer to the market, GEORGE.
GEORGE is a delicious and refreshingly light
top-fermented Blond Saison beer. GEORGE owes his spicy character to carefully selected ingredients, such as barley and wheat. Next to his intense taste experience and dry aftertaste, the bitterness of the hop makes you long for even more GEORGE.
GEORGE contains an alcohol percentage of 5,4%, it makes him the perfect 'drinking buddy' for a pleasant evening!
Rubio Monocoat is an international company that is active in more than 80 countries. Belgium is known as the biggest beer country and with GEORGE we want to spread beer love all over the world!

No matter how enthusiastic we are about GEORGE, selling our wood oil is still the core business of Rubio Monocoat. GEORGE is, in the first instance, made for drinking at international fairs and events, but GEORGE also serves as a promotional gift for our customer relations.
